A little about the shooter…

What’s up, guys! My name is Garrett and i’m from the great state of Louisiana. Ever since I could remember, I’ve always had a passion for the outdoors and the animals that we are lucky enough to share this earth with.

Growing up in rural Louisiana, my dad would always take me camping every year where he would teach me the ways of the forrest. He instilled in me the responsibility we all carried to appreciate nature, always leaving it better than we found it and to respect the animals that live there. That has always stayed with me and it’s something I hope to share with my future children someday.

For me, if i’m honest.. lol, I never dreamt that I would have the skills to take decent wildlife shots. My photography journey originally began as a way to document our camping trips. It wasn’t until one evening as I was on a hike with my father that we both spotted two beautiful bald eagles flying towards us. I immediately threw up my camera, “of course I did NOT have the correct settings dialed in lol,” but I started shooting anyway! When they flew by I immediately checked the back of my camera screen to see the fuzzy shots I had captured. Although the shots were under exposed, blurry and certainly not award winning, it sparked a passion within me. The rush I received was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. I was hooked!!

After many trips, purchased camera gear and hours later, I finally decided to start a website to share some of my captured images. I invite you along to share this journey with me, capturing the beauty that God has created for us all.
